A little tape, a little patience
Place a piece of clear tape across the widest part of your natural nail. Mark the two sidewalls. Do not wrap the tape tightly.
Measure the width
Lay the tape flat and measure between your marks in millimeters. Repeat for all ten nails; your hands may need different sizes.
Match your chosen shape
Tip widths vary by supplier and shape. Use the studio’s verified chart or a sizing kit for the shape you want. Do not assume a number means the same width for every style.
The standard sizes
Tip numbers from thumb to pinky. These are editable sample presets; verify against the actual tips used by your studio.
